Invest in the architecture
of understanding.

SeKondBrain is building the memory and meaning layer beneath the next generation of AI. If that’s a frontier you want to be part of, we’d like to talk.

The thesis

Fluency was the last decade.
Understanding is the next.

The last decade of AI made machines fluent. The next will make them understand — and that needs a different architecture underneath.

We’re building it: a neurosymbolic layer of memory, meaning and reasoning that turns scattered information into intelligence that compounds. This page is the short version. If it resonates, the full story is a conversation away.

Scattered money — a multi-trillion-dollar problem hiding in plain sight
The opportunity

A multi-trillion-dollar problem
hiding in plain sight.

Every business and knowledge worker loses time, money and momentum to scattered understanding — faster and bigger models don’t fix this. They keep you tied to them.

The world got a hundred times smarter and still starts every conversation from scratch. Organisations and individuals lose a significant share of every week rebuilding context they already had; understanding walks out of the door when people leave; and today’s AI, for all its fluency, starts over every session.

In addition to the time and knowledge loss, the longer your AI chats are, the more tokens it burns each time it revisits your need.

The layer beneath

This is not a feature gap.
It’s an architectural one.

It sits underneath every AI tool in the market. Solve it once, at the layer beneath, and you do not compete with the AI stack — you become part of its foundation and its potential to realise value. That’s the opportunity we’re building into.

  • 01Context rebuilt every weekOrganisations and individuals lose a significant share of every week reconstructing understanding they already had.
  • 02Knowledge walks out the doorWhen people leave, the firm's memory leaves with them — and today's AI starts the next session from scratch.
  • 03Tokens that burn twiceThe longer the chats, the more tokens burned each time the same need is revisited. Fluency without memory is expensive.

The proof

This is not a thesis on a slide.
Real proof lives in the market.

We're past the idea stage — with working products, published research, and commercial validation.

Published research

Atomic Units of X.
The compression layer of intelligence.

Our paper, Atomic Units of X: The Compression Layer of Intelligence, formalises the thesis and reports early results: concept-level representation cutting length by 46.2% while preserving meaning, and 100% Recall@5 retrieval. Published in the open and open to scrutiny.

We also publish where we sit on the neurosymbolic ladder — Type 2.5 on Kautz’s taxonomy — and what we’re working on to move beyond it, with the working shown.

Commercial validation

Design partners,
already building.

Design partners are already building real software on the platform and committing at six figures to co-develop it in partnership with us.

Building in the open

Kemory is open source.
We ship in public.

We publish our work, ship in public, and grow without paid acquisition.

The team

The team closest
to the problem.

Thirteen builders, eight locations, two-person teams — and eight of the thirteen have built with our CEO before.

Founder and CEO Sachin Dev Duggal co-founded and scaled Builder.ai to more than 1,000 people and a valuation approaching $2bn — learning, at full scale, both how software assembly wins and precisely where it loses the plot.

The lessons from roads previously travelled while AI was in its infancy are both structural and alive here: SeKondBrain is simultaneously bootstrapped and revenue-funded, the science comes before the story, and no claim is published ahead of its evidence. This is why we are building in the open.

Hands on, Sachin still writes code and co-authors the research — that is the passion and the job. This is not a one-founder company, and the way we are building proves it.

How we build

Every person here
is Kognitivo.

Every product is built by a two-person team, and every person on it is a Kognitivo — full stack, end to end, research to production. No specialist silos, no pure managers, because the frontier moves every morning.

The names

The names
matter.

The research is co-authored by Alexandros Vassiliades — knowledge graphs and semantic AI, with production systems built for Reuters — and Pradyumna S R, working at the neurosymbolic frontier.

Product is led by Priyanka Kochhar and engineering by Karol Błaszczyk — both previously built with Sachin and the second and third people through the door. Go-to-market is led by Kerry Reid, formerly CMO of Emaar and of Starbucks across MENA, Turkey and Russia. Capital strategy is led by Benjamin Brey, who spent fifteen years investing at Fidelity before choosing to build.

Conviction like that
cannot be hired.

It has to be invested.

Eight of the thirteen people here are early Builder.ai people — they saw the whole journey, start to finish, and chose to build with our CEO again.

And in a market where everyone is outpaying everyone else for AI talent, every one of the thirteen has invested to be here — choosing ownership over the highest bid.

The invitation

Let’s connect.

If you invest in category-defining infrastructure early, we’d like to share the full picture — the roadmap, the numbers, and the ask.

If our thesis and our proof resonates, get in touch and we’ll share the full story privately — where we are, where we’re going, and how you can be part of it.
